My concept develops the vision of the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris as a key element of the urban environment. Avant - garde religious building is completed by the flying roof construction, introducing dynamics into the space. The roof is a conditionally weightless construction, cut off from heavy cathedral on cables, creating a feeling of a flying form. The roof is used as an observation deck made of glass, giving the facade a dynamic, amplifying towards the altar and opening towards the river and the city. Cables, as one of the main strctural elements, create lightness, grandeur and dynamics, focus on the spire, as a central compositional element. Spire material - is aluminium, reflecting colored spotlights as a prism at night.
