The fire and destruction of Notre dame Cathedral gave us the opportunity to see the contrast between peace and destruction. In our design, we have decided to replace the spire and the roof with combined environment of classical and modern architecture. the spire is a major element of the space having candles room in its base. This room is for prayers, relief and relaxation. Our main attention is to present peace, believe and relaxation in a mixed environment between today and past. The design elements are garden, spire and great candles room. The garden is inspired by the typical French landscaping. It includes a group of led squares and rectangles surrounded by boxwood and lavender plants. The culminating element of the garden is the glazed arcade at the walkway end. people can peak from there and observe aii of Paris . The spire elements and arches are taken from Notre Dame Twin Towers, only in glass blocks this time. The memory of the fire can not be forgotten and this design is not here to replace the old one, yet to keep people thinking about time and change . We decided to freeze this idea by incorporating stone - glass walls in both the spire and candles room. The candles room is a calming space with candles carved in stone blocks standing in room corners and center. Although, modernity is famous for its hustle and the past ages for their beauty , here it is just peace.
