Wanting to escape from the "COVID-19" era of the untact, we dream of a restaurant where we can communicate freely with each other while separating space. In this period of hard communication with people in public, our dream will become a reality in this restaurant. This restaurant constructed a space by actively utilizing the concept and characteristics of the traditional Korean house, Hanok.
First, the concept of "kan" exists in hanok, just like the Western "module“. Through this concept of "kan" and the partitioon doors (a door that can be lifted and lowered like a partition), space can be flexibly expanded and separated. This door uses a traditional material (green material) called Moonpoongji (Hanji), which allows small-talking with guests in the next room.
Secondly, the distinction between the interior and exterior of hanok is not clear. This feature extends the function of restaurants to the yard and further enhances the community and vitality of the people. If you want to eat quietly, you can lower the partition doors and concentrate on your meal. If you want to communicate with a variety of people and eat, if your children want to play in the yard, you can open the partition doors and enjoy the meal together. And if you want to enjoy the party, you can open all the doors and enjoy the party by opening both indoor and outdoor. You will be able to experience various spaces.
Wood, the main ingredients of hanok, soil in the yard, grass, trees, and flowers attract us into nature. Come to this restaurant right now if you want to enjoy a meal in nature and experience various spaces during this frustrating time!
