To design the dream restaurant, we focused on the situation facing the whole world now. Currently, the whole world is suffering from the Covid-19 pandemic. Should I look like a restaurant that can solve these difficulties?
The dream restaurant we designed is to create a restaurant that can cope with the Covid-19 situation and adapt to future situations. Currently, most restaurants mainly use acrylic plates to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic. We wanted to design a restaurant using a new element, not a restaurant design using the existing one. This will be a great opportunity for people to have new experiences. And the design we need to make in the future should be a design that can respond not only to the present but also to the future. For example, environmental issues, another epidemic, etc. So we designed the restaurant through three factors.
First, moving walls.By using a moving wall rather than a fixed wall, space is separated through the wall in Covid-19 situations, and in other situations, the wall is moved to create an open space. Through the moving walls, we created a restaurant with flexibility.
Second, green box.Restaurants emit a lot of food waste. Food waste disposal is one of the problems that needs to be addressed in the environment. Another goal is to create an eco-friendly restaurant by utilizing green boxes equipped with food waste disposal facilities.
Third, ventilation.Ventilation is a very important factor in the Covid-19 pandemic. We designed it as a restaurant that can provide a safe and pleasant environment by setting the ventilation direction through 'Moving Wall' and 'Opening’.
As a result, our ultimate goal is to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic and create a future-oriented restaurant by designing a restaurant that includes three elements. The restaurant we designed will be a place where many people can have fun and happiness even in difficult situations.
