Located in Mindú Municipal Park, in Manaus, Brazil, the Oca VI is a memorial for Native Brazilian victims of COVID-19, one of the most fragile minorities. Using traditional construction techniques, it is a space that provides connection to the Amazon forest in which it is inserted. The circular geometry reflects social equality and also evokes Native’s culture. The narrow entrance opens up to a space destined to bring solace to the community, who will be bathed in a light from the skies.
